My Home

On an undefined land

Under an infinite velvet sky

Detaining a luminous moon

Reflecting like a bright smile in disturbing darkness

And stars.. Whispering tenderly

To me, to hear them

;

In quiet October nights

Of dimmed years of burden

Finally surrendering

And the twilight of colorful beginnings

After hurricanes that lasted for a long while

;

Resides my home ..

  1. Loved it Alia, thanks for the translation. though im told text read and understood in original urdu pack a greater impact, am i right? words have deeper meanings and intensity..

    1. You’re welcome, I’m glad you liked it.
      I do agree. The Arabic version of this piece, in my opinion, is deeper. I tried my best to deliver the same picture I portrayed in Arabic, ill try to do a better job next time 🙂
