They Fantasize Her Life

Standing on a mountain cliff, just one step away from being born into eternity. She chose to end her life by falling off for the world to remember her as the brave woman they thought she is. She was thinking through all the reasons that drove her to the edge; her physical and emotional insecurities, her overly criticizing parents, her husband’s adultery, her solitude, and the grayness of her soul. One step away from the prisoner’s eternal freedom she was. Her tears were falling as she looked down herself, thinking about all the years she wasted. “I’m doing the right thing” she reminded her self, to conceal her fear of taking that step.

A creature of light was looking down at her from a far distance, reading her silent words clearly, thinking of the prayers of the starving children, the orphans who never met their parents, the disabled who wish for senses, the unwell children who dream for something as simple as breathing, and the prayers of the families of those who did not wake up after an accident.

“She hates her life, while others wish to have her life” he thought, as he watched her take that step.

  1. Sad, but beautifully written, Alia! … It always saddens me when a human being loses hope because of misery they feel, which, if given time and if one changes that oppressive environment (including, moving away from the cheating husband, the abusive parents, etc, who are the obvious sources of the misery and loneliness), can pass like the clouds in the sky. Thanks for sharing! It is really touchy!

  2. Definitely imagine that that you stated. Your favorite reason seemed to be on the web the easiest thing to have in mind of. I say to you, I certainly get annoyed while people think about concerns that they plainly do not recognise about. You managed to hit the nail upon the highest and defined out the entire thing with no need side-effects , folks can take a signal. Will probably be back to get more. Thanks
